From the recording 'Seiche' download
I wrote this one in 2013. I finished it at Sonic Ranch, and we recorded it on the spot. Fano insisted on using the live demo of me playing piano and singing as the basis. He built the rest of the production around it. It's about a breakup. It's about when everything I planned for just blew up in my face and I was so stunned that I couldn't move. I just trusted that time would move on and take me with it. It was a hopeful devastation.

Wait for the Wave
It was out of the blue, and I fell in the black
It is dark and I reach for you and all the light that I lack
I try to be cavalier, but if you were to come back
Id take you
You were always droppin in, never to stay
I'll contend nothing good gets away
Oh I coud never leave you
and I cannot stay
Ill wait for the wave

But not for you, for me
